Robotics (Junior) Learning Program LEGO® WEDO 2.0® Robotics

Eligibility : (Age 6+ Years)

The RoboYantrix (Junior) learning program is designed to introduce robotics to children ages 6 to 9 years old using the most advanced Lego WeDo 2.0 training kit. This program will introduce children to the hardware and software secrets of creating robots. During the course, children will learn how to build robots with walking mechanisms, convert rotational motion into translational motion, increase force with levers, gear, and belt drives, work with motion and tilt sensors and they will be able to revive their robots using fascinating programs. students are guided to build and program their custom robots relating to a particular lesson, unleashing their creativity and expanding their knowledge base. During every lesson, kids make a new robot with a certain functionality.

Children gradually deepen their knowledge and may eventually create their own complex projects. In each lesson, the students are faced with an actual problem, which requires the use of new knowledge, previously acquired skills, team interaction, and personal creativity. The course focuses on the technologies that modern children face. It was designed so that keen young engineers of the future can learn about new technologies and robots that could improve life.

Students will use a variety of sensors (Color Sensor, Touch Sensor, Ultrasonic Distance Sensor, Gyro Sensor) to program robot platforms to accomplish given challenges. Students follow a series of courses to learn the basics of robot programming using a simple drag-and-drop software after which they have an opportunity to join Exceeders Curriculum which begins with text-based programming.

LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 is developed to engage and motivate elementary students’ interest in learning science and engineering-related subjects. WeDo 2.0 supports a hands-on, “minds-on” learning solution that gives students the confidence to ask questions and the tools to find the answers and solve real-life problems.

The Lego® WeDo 2.0® Robotics training program at RoboYantrix is divided into 3 levels

  • Level -1 (Beginner)
  • Level- 2 (Intermediate)
  • Level- 3 (Advanced)

Each level is 12 weekly Instructor-led classes, which is 60 minutes each.
